The award winning Woodlands Edge hiking trails system provides residents a variety of exercise and exploration options. Look for our trailhead markers throughout the neighborhood!

The designed hiking trails connect residents to the following amenities:

The trails vary in material type and width to accommodate all user groups:

  • Asphalt Trails (Bikes, Joggers, Walkers, Strollers)
  • Concrete Sidewalks (Bikes, Walkers, Strollers)
  • Mulch Trails (Joggers, Walkers, Mountain Bikes)
  • Earthen Challenge Trails (Hikers)
  • No motorized vehicles


Panther Branch Trail  1.2 Miles of Mulch & Asphalt

“Trail meanders through various greenspaces and along Panther Branch creek in the Woodsgate Neighborhood”

Lakeside Trail 0.8 Miles of Earthen Path & Sidewalk

“Scenic trail beside Hidden Pond; look for ducks, geese, hawks, deer, and an American Bald Eagle in the witner months”

Bottomland Trail 1.3 Miles of Mulch Trail & Asphalt (to be extended)

“Trail runs beside Brodie Creek, through the recreation area and adjacent to a wildflower meadow in the Tallgrass neighborhood.”

Woodlands Trail 1.8 Miles of Concrete Sidewalk (future 0.6 miles to Kanis Rd.)

“Peaceful strolling sidewalk through the forest connecting residents to the recreation area and a preserved frog pond”

Challenge Trail (Future) 5.8 Miles of Earthen Path

“Advanced trail running through hilltops and valleys through 300 forested acres”
